A Trip to the moon- Global Star Party

To mark a lavish beginning to the month of May and unravel the mysteries of the universe celebrated Global Star Partywas organized in the school on 6 May 2017 for the students of grade 2 to grade 11. The inquisitive learners watched the planets like Venus and Jupiter through telescope. A gamut of games kept them engaged and the urge to know more about space got invigorated. What took the spotlight were the aliens rolling on skates. The entire show was a throwback time for the big gathering as experience is not bound to time…time goes on and so does the learning. The Principal quoted, “We aspire to chase every shooting star. The students of GD Goenka will never sing ‘Up above the world so high. Like a diamond in the sky’ because they would be talking to those diamonds very soon. Astronomy will empower them to think beyond the world.”

Multiple intelligence Camp

"Real genius don’t love the most beautiful thing in the world. What they create is beautiful for them”
Anything that is worth teaching can be presented in many different ways. These multiple ways can make use of intelligence multi-faceted. The theory of ‘Multiple Intelligence’ has largely catered to the broad spectrum of students all over the world. "We are all able to know the world through language, logical-mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, and use of body to solve problems or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of ourselves.
The school organized a Multiple Intelligence Camp for the students of classes Pre-School to VIII in the school premises on 21 and 22 February 2017. There were myriad of activities like Story-Telling, Sand Art, Google Doodle, Aerobics, Science Mania and many more. Learners had a gala time enjoying all the activities. Doing such physical and mental workouts led students to have a day off from the bundle of books which accompany them every day to school.

I-Smart Boot Camp

Since we believe in learning that occurs at all levels, the school organized an I-Smart Boot camp for the students of classes VI-X on 10 February 2017 where the school became an arena of multiple physical activities like, tug-o-war, egg ball, etc., the crux of which was learning to take up healthy team spirit and time management.  The learners went back with good memories and a realization that friends do not bring understanding but understanding brings in everlasting friendship.
The principal of the school quoted her views, “Whereas school applauds good marks…. such camps acknowledge and reward a wider range of accomplishments.”
