The festival that marks the preparation for the arrival of spring. The festival is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati and is also known as SARASWATI PUJA. On this day, people usually worship Goddess Saraswati and seek her blessings. The day is considered to be quite auspicious for beginning one’s education. People celebrate the festival with great enthusiasm and harmony. During the morning hours of Saraswati Pooja or Vasant Panchami, people visit temples and make floral and water offerings to Goddess Saraswati’s idol. In the eastern part of India, Saraswati Pooja Pandal are organized, prolific participation is observed in cultural events, music and dance. Saraswati Vandana is also performed by singers. The shade of yellow is seen everywhere, people enjoy the fest of spring, freshness and immense knowledge.
