“To deny people their human rights, is to challenge their very humanity.”
Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December. This is the day when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1948. Available in more than 500 languages, it is the most translated document in the world. It proclaims the rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being – regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, national or social origin, or other status. GD Goenka Public School, Rohini, Sector 9 observes the Human Rights Day.
