India marks 14 December as NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY in a bid to raise awareness about the importance of energy conservation. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the ministry of power, marks the day by organising several events to stress on the need for efficient use of energy and how it can benefit both present and future generations as well as the ways in which India is working to mitigate the impact of climate change.

To store energy for future use, it is critical to use it effectively. To have a greater impact on the energy conservation strategy, energy conservation should be ingrained in every human being’s behavior.

Adopting an energy-efficient lifestyle would help to improve India’s energy system for the better.

This year, the THEME is ‘Azadika Amrit Mahotsav: Energy Efficient India”
