NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY aims to promote awareness about the rights of the girl child and increase awareness on the importance of girl education and their health and nutrition. It is celebrated on JANUARY 24th every year.
This year, the day will be celebrated in the backdrop of 75 years of Indian Independence – “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The event would highlight the achievements of Ministries in empowering Girl Child. Felicitation of young female achievers under 20 years of age would be conducted. Also new schemes aimed at the welfare of Girl Child would be announced. National Girl Child day celebrates every girl child and aims to create a positive environment around valuing the girl child.
