ARGUMENTATIVE DEBATE (9-12) AGAINST INS AI GLOBAL DEBATE COMPETITION

A good leader can engage in a debate frankly and thoroughly, knowing that at the end he and the other side must be closer, and thus emerge stronger. ”Winning is not just a choice but sum of repeated efforts. Ananya Sharma of class 9A participated in an Interschool event wherein she spoke against the motion. By securing the 2nd position, she has shown that with determination, one can reach great heights.

Congratulations to Mayank Maan of Class VII for his remarkable performance at the 17th South Delhi Swimming Meet 2023. We are delighted to honor his achievement of securing a BRONZE MEDAL in the 50m Butterfly event within the Under 11 Boys Category. Keep up the excellent work!

ZONAL ENGLISH EXTEMPORE

Mahatma Gandhi rightly said that,  The English language is so elastic that you can find another word to say the same thing. With this quote in mind,Hitansh Lakhotia of class X-A won the IInd position in the Senior boys category in Extempore (English) competition.

“Musicians want to be the loud voice for so many quiet hearts.” Ananya Sharma of class IX won the IInd position in the senior girls category in Instrumental Music(Swar) competition.

ZONAL - INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC(PERCUSSION & SWAR)

“Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart. Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. Rickraj of class V-B won the IInd position in the junior boys category in  Instrumental Music (Percussion)

Yoga is a great practice for both the body and the mind, it offers peace and mindfulness to its lovers and helps them get through daily stress. Kiyansh Tyagi of class II and Aarvi Jindal of class III won bronze medal in Delhi State Yogasana Sports Championship. We wish them all the best for their future endeavors.

Among these achievers were Shivanya Malik of class III, Bhavya Garg of class V and Aarohi Jindal of class VIII. We hope to see them with flying colours always.

DELHI STATE YOGASANA SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP

EXPLORIKA 2023- STORY TELLING WITH PUPPET

G D Goenka has been consistently awarded for its excellence and today, we are ecstatic to share yet another achievement. Students from classes IV-V of G.D. Goenka Public School, participated in Explorika 2023 (Storytelling with puppets). In the competition, young talents of our school showcased their narrative prowess, captivating the audience with imaginative tales. Enthusiastic participants delivered expressive performances using props like puppets- showcasing creativity, confidence, and communication skills. The event fostered a love for storytelling, encouraging the next generation of storytellers to shine on the literary stage. The students of G.D. Goenka, well-deservingly secured third position in the competition.

The will to win is important but the will to prepare is vital.’ In sync with the aforesaid, witnessing sportspersons push themselves to conquer the physical and mental barriers is inspiring in itself, even when the winners are in this scenario. But even the best of the best suffer from feeling as if they are not good enough. That time just a little motivation does wonders and pave the way to success. The Budding Sportspersons, at G D Goenka Public School, time and again have proven their mettle.
Parush Gaba of class 6 won Silver Medal in 6th Decathlon Skating Championship under 11 boys category.

Activities in school are always encouraging as these are the rich platform to engage and refine one’s innate talent and skills. G.D. Goenka Public School always encourages the student’s participation in an array of activities to mould their personality and sharpen their aptitude. It was an elated moment as Gyanvi Dhar of class VIII-B participated in English Poem Recitation Zonal Cultural Competition, Junior category and bagged the Third position. It witnessed a rich display of rhetorical skills and research work as the participants recited poems originally written by them in the English language and scored prestigious positions. It was an illuminating experience for students as they observed each other and learned a lot throughout the event.

Chess is the struggle against the error- and Kashvi has proved it.

We Goenkans, extend our heartfelt congratulations to our honourable Principal and the teachers for their unparalleled feat; on being awarded by IIHM on the occasion of Teachers’ Day for their selfless contribution towards imparting education during pandemic. The past few months have not been easy but the persistent efforts of the teachers and veracious guidance of the Head of School has led us through it. We once again congratulate our Principal, Mr Rajeev Kumar and the teachers for leading us through this canyon of ambiguities and making us achieve once considered unconquerable !
