“Braille opens the door for thousands of blinds to be independent.”
World Braille Day is an international day on 4 January and celebrates awareness of the importance of braille as a means of communication. The date for the event marks the birthday of Louis Braille, creator of this writing system. World Braille Day is a reminder of the importance of accessibility and independence for people who are blind or visually impaired. Braille literacy is also an important factor in equal opportunities for people with blindness. GD Goenka Public School, Rohini, Sector 9, stands with all the visually impaired persons on this day.
