A global initiative, singular in its kind is led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to face one of our greatest challenges; fight the epidemic of cancer in its face. WORLD CANCER DAY is an International day marked on 4 February to raise awareness about cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment. World Cancer Day is led by the Union for International Cancer Control to support the goals of the World Cancer Declaration, written in 2008. The new World Cancer Day 2022-2024 campaign theme, ‘Close the care gap” is about identifying and addressing the barriers that exist for many people around the world in access the care they need.
